who we are
Founded in 2001, Waterlily Pond is a full-service event design and floral art studio based in San Francisco, California.
We are a boutique firm with bold aspirations. Pushing technical and artistic boundaries, we love to take risks and deliver big impact for clients. Our principals are the dynamic wife-and-husband duo Natasha Lisitsa and Daniel Schultz, who’s unique combination of skills produces a distinctive signature for each installation and event.
Natasha and Daniel have been commissioned by modern art museums, cathedrals, public spaces, and cultural organizations globally to create large-scale floral art, with suspended installations up to 2000 pounds in weight. As artists and teachers, they have shared their craft with design lovers around the world.
— About Natasha
Originally trained as an engineer, Natasha founded Waterlily Pond in 2001, and has since completed thousands of events, honing her signature style along the way. She began her floral career by studying Japanese Ikebana floral design, from which she developed an aesthetic of clean lines and bold color and material that’s been called ‘exuberant Ikebana’. Natasha has become a celebrated floral artist on the international design scene, especially loved for her engaging lecture demonstrations. Beyond floral artistry, Natasha’s design background and engineering know-how enable her to vision and execute transformational decor for events intimate and grand.
